Vidalo

Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 August 2026

Vidalo turns a photo you choose into a short video. This policy explains exactly what we collect when you do that, why, and how long we keep it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

Vidalo carries no advertising and no tracking or attribution SDKs. We do use one product-analytics tool, PostHog, to count events such as which screen was opened or whether a generation started — it never receives your photos, what you typed, or your videos. We do not build an advertising profile of you, and we never sell your data.

Who we are

Vidalo is operated by Deniz Ozgur. For any privacy question, or to ask us to delete your data, write to support@vidalo.app and we will respond within 30 days.

What we collect

DataWhyKept for
Photos you upload They are the input to the video you asked us to make. Nothing else. 30 days, then deleted automatically
Videos we generate So they appear in your Library and you can download them. Until you delete them or your account
Anonymous account ID A random identifier that ties your credits and Library to your device. It is not linked to your name, email, or phone number. Until you delete your account
Purchase records To know which subscription or credit pack you own. Apple and Google process the payment; we never see your card details. As long as required by tax law
Usage events Which screens were opened and whether a generation started, so we can see what is confusing and fix it. Never your photos, your videos, or what you typed. Until you delete your account
Basic technical logs Error and request logs, so we can fix crashes and abuse. 90 days

Creating an account requires no email address, no phone number, and no social login. If you never contact support, we never learn your name.

Your photos

Your photo is uploaded only when you tap to create a video, and only the photo you selected. Vidalo never reads your photo library in the background: iOS and Android hand us the single image you picked, and nothing else.

Who processes your data

To make a video we send your photo to the AI provider that runs the model behind the template you chose. They process it to produce your video and act on our instructions only:

Because these providers operate in the United States, your data may be transferred outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Children

Vidalo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete the account.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or export it. In the app, Account → Delete account erases your Library, your uploads, and your account record permanently. If you are in the EU/UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority; in California you have the rights granted by the CCPA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

Security

Traffic is encrypted with TLS. Your Library is protected by row-level security, so one account cannot read another's videos. No system is perfect, but we keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small — the best protection for data is not to collect it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for anything material, tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
